Milton, Georgia is home to 30,000 people. Milton was incorporated in 2006 and was created out of the unincorporated northwestern portion of northern Fulton County. The new city includes the northwest unincorporated island with Cherokee County on its north and west border, the county of Forsyth to the east, the city of Roswell to the southwest and Alpharetta to the south.
There are numerous neighborhoods in Milton. The Arcaro-Triple Crown estate community features homes built between 2007 to 2009. Most of these large homes are built on one or more acres of land, offering residents a serene, private and luxurious lifestyle. The Belleterre neighborhood is a pool and tennis neighborhood which features homes built between 1994 and 1997 in very traditional architecture style. In Crabtree Crossing buyers can choose from many Craftsman-style garden homes that feature three bedrooms and multiple baths. There is a community lake here, well-lit streets and plenty of sidewalks. Bentgrass Farms consists of 76 homes built between 1991 to 1995 with prices ranging from $260,000 to $525,000.
Many newcomers to Milton are finding family life quite pleasing in the Wyndham neighborhood which is very family oriented. There are 288 homes here that were designed to create a very close-knit, small neighborhood feeling. Residents can be found socializing at the local clubhouse and around the pool and playground. This friendly atmosphere is typical of all of Milton’s neighborhoods.
The community of Milton is vast and has a country feel to it despite the fact that it is reasonably close to Atlanta. There are many luxurious homes here: estates, town homes, equestrian homes as well as club homes located in secure, gated communities such as Manor Golf and Country Club. There are twelve public schools in operation here as well as six private schools. The nearest airport is Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which is a twenty mile drive south on GA 400.
